Bang Kho is a sub-district of Chom Thong and is located southwest of Central Bangkok. The area is served by the BTS transport network with the nearest station being Wutthakat.
Popular tourists places to visit in the area are Wat Rajorasaram, Wat Sai, and Wat Nangnong Worawihan.
The whole area around Bang Kho and Chom Thong and up to Thung Khru is known for its tangerines, which are called Bang Mot tangerine.
To recognise this local delicacy there is even a giant sculpture designated to tangerines at the junction between Rama II Road and Suk Sawat Road. The tangerine is not the only fruit grown locally, there is also a lychee farm at Poomjai Garden.
Shopping is really at a premium in Bang Kho and there are no large malls or department stores to be found. However, there are plenty of local shops and small markets selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
The rest of the local stores are an assortment of coffee sops, gold shops, a bakery, and a music store. Kozy Korner is a local market that is friendly and has a few food outlets and a couple of restaurants.
Housing in the area is divided up into traditional Thai architecture, townhouses, and a few quite smart housing estates. Prices here are very reasonable compared to other more affluent areas of the Thai capital.
