Bangpakok Sub District

DISTRICT: Rat Burana

POSTCODE: 10140

Bang Pakok is one of only two sub-districts in Rat Burana District. I borders the west side of the Chao Phraya River. In the past this area was primarily orchards and is known for producing Chompoo Mamiao which is a variety of rose apple.

Rat Burana Road runs through the district following the river bank and crossing over Khlong Bang Pa Kaeo on the Bangpakaew bridge. Along the road you will find shopping. condo projects, temples and schools.

Bangpakok Wittayakom School is located just off of Rat Burana Road and is near Wat Bang Pakok. In fact the school was started by an abbot of the wat in 1949 utilising the second floor of one of their buildings. In 1951, the school was moved to a new building on land donated to the wat and transferred to the Department of General Education. In 1964, additional land was donated and the school now occupies about 12,000 square metres. The students range from grade seven to twelve.

The Ivy River Condo is a stunning development near the river offering views over the river and into central Bangkok. There are three buildings and 1,265 units. The development has two main towers of 32 stories each that feature stunning views and infinity pools.

Despite such a good location relative to transport and other services, condo prices are relatively inexpensive. The median price for a condo in Bang Pakok is less than 1.7 million THB. The median price has fallen by 10% over the past year.
