Bangphai Sub District

Bang Phai is one of the four sub-districts of Bang Khae and lies directly west of the CBD of Bangkok. The major artery of this district is Kanchanaphisek Road, where the Bangkok commuter traffic often comes to a standstill at the respective rush hours.

However the transport links into the city are not just dependent on the local crowded roads, and Wutthakat Station is located near Bang Phai, which allows access to the Skytrain line and therefore the MRT underground network.

Bang Phai is a popular suburb to live in as its location is great and there are many good malls and shopping areas. Such as Paseo Park, The Mall Bang Khae located on Kanchanaphisek Road, Tesco Lotus Bang Khae, and the Wonder Department Store.

Paseo Park is a popular destination for residents to come to shop and eat. Paseo Park has some great restaurants serving a selection of cuisines including Japanese and Thai. Although the shopping outlets are somewhat limited there are some great clothing shops selling inexpensive items

There are not many cultural things to do in this part of Bangkok and most activity is based around the shopping and cafes in the sub-district which imparts a great local feel to the area.

Bang Phai is rapidly becoming a popular place to live, it gives great access to the centre of Bangkok and all the other areas of the city. There are a number of smart condominiums in the Bang Phai area that offer luxury accommodation for far more reasonable prices than elsewhere. There are also more traditional Thai housing available that includes townhouses and the like.
