Dok Mai sub-district is in the eat of the Prawet District. There are a total of 3 sub-districts in Prawet. Dok Mai shares a border with sister sub-district Nong Bon at one end and Samut Prakan on the other. It is the closes sub-district to Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Dok Mai is largely residential and features a number of schools including Pan-Asia International School or PAIS. It opened in 2004 and is part of the International Schools of Thailand.

As you can expect from an international school, there is no shortage of facilities, There is a cafeteria, a library, an auditorium, four science laboratories, a music room, a library/media center, an IT lab. Sports facilities include a swimming pool, two covered basketball/volleyball courts and two football pitches.
