Lamplathio Sub District

Lam Pla Thio is a sub-district of Lat Krabang and is located to the far east of the center of Bangkok. The sub-district is north of Highway 7 and is only accessible by road from Bangkok.

The area is full of villages which include, Nopnom, Samphao Thong, Flora View Park City, Phayakphrai, Chamroen Suk, and Wat Lam Pa Ong Village. Many people commute on a daily basis to the city by taking the airport train and changing onto the BTS or the MRT.

Also many choose to drive into Bangkok which all adds to the traffic congestion during peak times.

Many of the villages are new developments and the housing is a mixture of traditional Thai architecture and modern detached brick homes.

Out on the Lat Krabang Road you can find the Paseo Mall which may not be as opulent as the plush inner-city malls of Bangkok but is still worth a visit to help your retail therapy.

Being a rural area Khlong Sam Prawet has some great golf courses to take advantage of, including The Suvarnabhuni Golf and Country Club. The course is championship level and provides a stiff test for even the most competent golfers. Water features a great deal on many of the holes so a good short-iron game is useful.

Formerly known as the President Country Club it opened in 1993 and offers 36 holes of stunning natural beauty, and the clubhouse provides top facilities including a restaurant and a bar.

Being only 25 kilometers from Suvarnabhumi Airport it is an ideal place to have a quick round before catching your plane.

As this area is some sixty minutes from Central Bangkok, property prices are reasonable and there is a choice of modern developments and traditional Thai housing depending on your budget. It also is an excellent location to access other parts of Thailand such as Pattaya and the Eastern Seaboard.
