DISTRICT: Bueng Kum
POSTCODE: 10240
Nuan Chan is a sub-district of Bueng Kum and is to the northeast of central Bangkok.
Nuan Chan is very much a thriving local community, with local markets and privately owned businesses being the main commerce. The nearest big shopping mall is Nine Centre Rama 9 which is a taxi ride away.
Nuan Chan Market is one of the best in the area, and can be reached by bus. The open market sells fresh vegetables, fruit, and meat that arrive daily. There is also a wide selection of Thai dishes to select from, at very good prices which are simply delicious.
The major tourist attraction in the locality is the Seri Thai Garden which was formerly known as Bueng Kum Water Park. It can be found on Serithai Road at Mooban Sahakorn.
Nuan Chan is not the easiest of districts to access, as the only real way of getting in and out is by bus or car. The MRT or BTS do not stretch out to this part of Bangkok which means very few tourists venture there.
Most people either live in townhouses or traditional Thai houses in Nuan Chan, and prices of real estate are really reasonable. But trying to get into the center of Bangkok can be really a chore.
