Phlapphla Sub District

The sub-district of Phlapphla is one of four sub-districts of Wang Thonglang District. The district was established in 1997. It partly borders with Bang Kapi and corners with sub-district Saphan Song.

One of the highlights in Phlapphla is the Chao Phraya Bodindecha Museum.  The museum is open Monday to Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm and closed on the weekends. The museum is located on Lat Phrao Road in the Bodindecha School.

The museum was built to honour the 50’th anniversary of the ascension of His Majesty King Bhumibol to the throne as well as the 25’th anniversary of the establishment of the Bodindecha School.

The museum is based on three teakwood houses each depicting something different. It also has a ceremonial pavillion, Thai botanical gardens and a monument to Chao Phraya Bodindecha. Entry to the museum is free of charge.

Inthrachai Community College is another feature of Phlapphla. The college opened in 1978 offering vocational courses up to certificate level. They cover a range of subjects including Accounting, Information Technology and Tourism. Their aim is to fill the needs of both the public and private sectors.

Housing relatively inexpensive in Phlapphla relative to Bangkok prices. There are a number of condos for sale below one million baht and many available for half that. The statistics are quite different from the neighboring sub-district of Khlong Chaokhun Sing.

The growth rate was only 0.2% for the past year, however rental returns were an impressive 18.8%.
