Samsennok Sub District

DISTRICT: Huai Khwang

POSTCODE: 10900

Sam Sen Nok is a sub-district of Huai Khwang which is directly north of Central Bangkok.

This area is serviced well by the MRT and in the district there are six stations, Phetchaburi, Phra Ram 9, Thailand Cultural Centre, Huai Khwang, Sutthisan, and Ratchadaphisek.

The main highways in the area are Ratchadaphisek Road, Prachasongkroa Road, and Pracharat Bamphen Road and at this intersection you can find the Huai Khwang Metro Station which is the hub of the district.

Sam Sen Nok is popular for people who like shopping and entertainment, and close by is RCA (Royal City Avenue), and Central Plaza Grand Rama IX. There are plenty of local stores too selling everything from scuba equipment to cosmetics.

The main attraction of the district is the Thailand Cultural Centre which has its own MRT station. The Centre was funded by a grant from Japan and has two indoor stages and one outdoor plus auditoriums.

It is used for all manner of live performances from, dance, music, acting and just about anything else you can think of.

Sam Sek Nok is a lively area of Bangkok and attracts many tourists visiting nightlife areas such as Royal City Avenue which is one of Bangkok’s largest entertainment areas, stacked full of bars, clubs and live music venues.

Beacuse of the great transport networks and the plethora of things to do, Sam Sek Nok is a popular area for condominium developments including XT Huaikhwang, Life Ratchadapisek, and Maestro to name just three. But in this popular area prices can be high.
