Bangduan Sub District

Bangduan Sub District

DISTRICT: Phasi Charoen District

POSTCODE: 10160

Bang Duan is just one of seven sub-districts that make up Phasi Charoen District which is on the west side of the Chao Phraya River. The closest BTS station is the Bang Wa station which could be reached by travelling up Phet Kasem Road in a neighboring sub-district.

Phutthamonthon Sai 1 Road runs north to south on the western side of the sub-district. It starts just south of Bang Duan at Petchkasem Road and runs north through the sub-district for quite a distance all the way to the Southern Railway. Not surprisingly, there are several cafes and shops along the route. There were some difficulties in getting the road built as it required that the government to expropriate private land. Through negotiation, fair compensation prices were eventually agreed and construction carried forward.

Bang Duan is where the Phasi Charoen district office is located as well as being the home to the Phasi Charoen police station.

The Nexus Christian Church is the only church in Bang Duan listed by the Thailand Church Directory. The church started in 2013 and services are in Thai language. They have put together a 10 year plan to expand the number of churches and worshippers as well as to develop media and perform community outreach.

Bang Duan, Phasi Charoen, should not be mistaken for an area of the same name in the Samut Prakan District where the Bang Duan Hospital happens to be located.
