Bang Na Nea is a sub-district of Bang Na and can be found southeast of Bangkok. It is one of the smallest sub-districts in Bangkok in terms of population and area, but it is located in one of the biggest transportation hubs of Bangkok.

The Sukhumvit Road extension into Bang Na makes it one of the largest highways in the world, and the BTS Skytrain has three stations close to Bang Na Nea: Bang Na, Bearing, and Udom Suk making it really easy to access Bang Na Nea.

Bang Na station is only a five minute walk to BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre) which is the city’s major exhibition and events center.

BITEC holds international exhibitions and concerts by world stars so it is a very popular venue, which brings many visitors to the area.

Bang Na Nea is close to some impressive temples including Wat Si Iam, and Wat Bang Na Nok.

Wat That Thong is one of the most revered temples in the area as it is popular for funeral purposes, and is a place Thai’s go to show their deepest respect.

Close to Bang Na Nea there are plenty of places to find retail therapy, such as the impressive Central Plaza Bangna which was formerly known as Central City, which was one of the very first malls in the area.

This mall is huge and differs from the normal shopping malls as it offers a Water Theme Park, and the record breaking Royal Dragon Restaurant which up to 2008 was the world’s largest outdoor restaurant.

Because of the many condominium developments in the area and the proximity to BITEC it tends to make property on the expensive side in Bang Na Nae.
