DISTRICT: Phasi Charoen District

Khuha Sawan is one of seven sub-districts that make up Phasi Charoen District on the west side of the Chao Phraya River. It is sort of shaped like a boot with toe not far from the Bang Wa BTS Skytrain station It shares a border with sister sub-district Pak Khlong Phasi Charoen.
There are several temples in the sub-district including: Wat Yang Bang Chak. Wat Nok, Wat Bang Waek and Wat Kuhasawan Worawihan. Wat Kuhasawan Worawihan dates all the way back to the Ayutthaya period. It is generally not open to go inside, but has beautiful architecture and is well viewed from a canal boat along Khlong Bangkok Yai.
One of the more popular places for visitors is Ban Silapin or the artists house. The house is over 200 years old that has been carefully restored. Entrance is free and there are many things to see. One of the main attractions is the Thai puppet show, something you are not likely to see in many other places. The puppet show is daily at 2:00 pm except Wednesdays. Though it is free, there is a donation box for the performance. The gift shop also offers some unique handcrafted souvenirs at very good prices.
The sub-district is home to the Thonburi Commercial College. This is a vocational college that prepares students to enter the workforce providing a variety of skills with an emphasis on good ethics. Another education institute is the Sujinwadee School which is an elementary school through to year six.
