Phatthanakan Sub District

Phatthanakan sub-district is one of three sub-districts of San Luang District. The airport rail link runs along the border of the sub-district. Stations in this area include Hua Mak and Ramkhamhaeng. As such the sub-district is near Hua Mak, Bang Kapi and Ramkhamhaeng University.

Thai Nichi Institute of Technology is one of the education institutes in this area. As you might guess from the name, their website has English, Thai and Japanese language options. Their programmes include an exchange program between Thailand and Japan to provide students with the opportunity to learn abroad.

Bangkok Christian International School is located nearby. The school was started by the Korean Missionary Fellowship (KMF) in Thailand. The school opened in 1997 with just 34 students. Today the school has 350 students from more than eleven different countries. They provide education from Kindergarten through High School.

Another school in the same area is Pannaya Pattanakarn School. The school started teaching in 2001. Their students are from kindergarten to grade six. The maximum student capacity is over 1,800 students with 57 classrooms. In addition to the academics, the school has a playground, basketball court and a football field. There is also an agricultural garden to teach students sufficiency economics.

The real estate market in Phatthanakan is quite active. There are many condos for sale and rent in this sub-district. One complex, Pattanakarn Life Complex, has seen significant growth over the past year. Asking prices have gone up 21.15% in the last year yet rental returns are still providing a 5.15% return.
