Trying to find this central Bangkok district is easy, as every major highway seems to have signs directing you there. Whilst all down its eastern border runs the MRT and five stations are located around the district, Phra Ram 9, Thailand Cultural Centre, Huai Khwang, Sutthisan, and Ratchadaphisek.
Din Daeng is a small and highly populated district of Bangkok that is in part due to the concentration of apartments built by the National Housing Authority, they can be seen all along Din Daeng Road and Pracha Songkhro Road.
Public housing is not the only accommodation that can be found here, there are some good condo developments also, but can be a little pricy.
For shopping there is Esplanade which is a seven storey mall that can be found on Ratchadaphisek Road, and the nearest MRT station is Thailand Cultural Centre. Nearby landmarks are the AIG Building and the RS Tower.
Not far from Esplanade is the Rot Fai Train Night Market which is excellent for food and clothing.
Ratchadapisek Road is one of Bangkok’s busiest thoroughfares, and so many shopping outlets have decided to line the pavements along this busy road. And the superb MRT access mean that shoppers can get to their favourite malls, restaurants and cafes easily.
Everything from computer gear to mobile phones, the area offers a wide selection of goods. If it is IT gear you are interested in then head to the four storey Fortune Town near Phra Ram 9 station.
Din Daeng is a bustling district of Bangkok, and is a very popular place for people to want to live as it is so central.
