Perhaps the biggest claim to fame Bang Khae has that it is the birthplace of one of Thailand’s most famous singers, namely Thongchai Bird McIntyre. 

Of course Bang Khae has far more going for it than just celebrities, it has some great shopping as well at the Wonder Department Store, The Mall Bang Khae, and Paseo Park.

The Mall is where shoppers and diners like to spend their time. Although not the biggest mall in Thailand it has a great selection of retail outlets, plus many restaurants serving a variety of food. For seafood lovers there are outlets that sell the freshest produce to take home to cook.

The nearest public transportation link to Bang Khae is the BTS, and Wutthakat station is within walking distance. This adds to the desirability of the area for commuters of central Bangkok to live. There are many smart new condominium developments in Bang Khae that offer luxury accommodation for far more reasonable prices than elsewhere.
