Bangkok Noi is a lively area that has its own shopping center, Central Plaza Pinklao which can be found on Borommaratchachonnani Road. Right across the street from Central Pinklao is a multiscreen cinema, Major Cineplex. This area has many small shops that sell everything you could possibly need, from fashionable clothing stores to household goods, and low-cost clothing. 

Traditionally this area is known for handicrafts and traditional goods but they are hard to find now. In Bang Chang Lo however, you can still find artisans making Buddha images, today this is done by using rubber molds and then lacquer is applied.

In in the Ban Bu community they were experts at making stone-polished bowls, using techniques that date back to Ayutthaya times. You can find these bowls used in households on a daily basis they are that strong.

Bangkok Noi has its own railway station that is sometimes called Thonburi, and it handles services to Nakhon Pathom, Kanchanaburi, and Nam Tok.

Bangkok Noi does not have access to BTS or MRT but the easiest way of getting there is take the BTS to nearby Wongwain Yai station and then walk or take a taxi. An alternative route is take a water taxi to Wang Lang pier and pick up a taxi or tuk tuk.

Because of the lack of good transport links, Bangkok Noi has cheaper property values than nearby areas, and can be a good alternative for somewhere cheaper to live.
